Comet Pike Flies

Comet Pike Flies are the latest of the Grando Predator fly creations. The lightweight fly has an acrylic streamline head making them relatively easy to cast even for inexperienced anglers.
The materials used in this pattern create great mobility under the water allowing a very slow or twitchy retrieve, sometimes necessary in very cold water. The profile and the addition of flashy tinsel imitate a baitfish which will often induce a take. Comet Pike Flies are suitable to fish in rivers, canals or still water venues and are effective for many predator species in both fresh and salt water. The super sharp 5/0 Sakuma Manta hook has great strength and hooking power for even the most aggressive fish.
Use a wire trace or leader when targeting toothy species. Comets can also be fished with traditional spinning tackle by adding a casting weight or Bombarda in front of the lure.
